Do you ever feel like your tank is on empty and there is no more energy left to give? Wouldn’t it be nice if we could drive into a station and say “fill me up.”
Moms commonly feel guilty when they take time to care for themselves but the truth is, it’s a necessity, not a luxury.
When we give all day (and night) long to everyone else around us, we are often left feeling depleted, tried, and resentful. A way to ease some of these feelings is to be aware of what you are doing for yourself. Schedule in each day something YOU enjoy.
It can be a walk, connecting with a girlfriend, reading, even something as simple as that five minute cup of hot tea. Swap children with a friend for an hour once a week. Take a few minutes for yourself first thing in the morning, or the last thing before bed. Just be sure to find those moments for you.
It might sound hard and some of you might be tempted to say its impossible, but its not. We are all given the same 24 hours. Choose to make it a priority to live them healthy and do something for you!
